Medical Department

Jet Rescue Air Ambulance  Medical Department  is in charge of implementing, supervising, and evaluating the medical care provided by our flight teams in the field. This is done  by implementing treatment protocols, reviewing the flight reports after each fight and providing continuing education to the crew members. The department is managed  by our Medical Director in coordination with our Clinical Care Supervisor and Chief Flight Nurse.

Yanik Nordin, MD Medical Director

Dr. Nordin's role as medical director involves overall supervision of patient care and clinical aspects of the air medical service.  This is accomplished through pre-flight medical consultation, development of appropriate field medical protocols, quality assurance, and determination of the qualifications and training of all air medical service personnel. Dr. Nordin's  has been involved in air operations, emergency and trauma medicine in the United States for over ten years. He  is an active Volunteer Maricopa County Sheriff Deputy assigned to the Air Support Unit.  He also has extensive experience in medical care delivery in foreign countries throughout the world.
